How the Program Works
The Higher Ed Ready Program is available exclusively to EDUCAUSE Corporate Members and is awarded at the organizational level.

Designate one representative to:
- Log into the Higher Ed Ready Application Portal
- Complete your company’s application
- Submit payment
Application deadline: Thursday, September 17.

Undergo Expert Review
A panel of higher education CIOs and academic technology leaders evaluates each submission across six areas:
- Transparency and communication
- Innovation
- Customer success
- Shared goals and values
- Standards and compliance
- Collaboration and community engagement

Earn Recognition
Organizations that meet the program standards will be:
- Listed in the EDUCAUSE Higher Ed Ready Directory
- Awarded a digital seal to use in marketing and communications
The seal is valid for three years, with an annual license fee.

Which standards or criteria are used to evaluate submissions?
Submissions are evaluated based on alignment with a set of six criteria that were developed in collaboration with higher education senior leaders. Criteria include:
- Transparency and communication
- Innovation
- Customer success
- Shared goals and values
- Standards and compliance
- Collaboration and community engagement
How long is our company's seal valid?
Your seal will be valid for three years, provided your EDUCAUSE Corporate Membership remains in good standing. An annual license fee will be required each year to receive your latest seal and continue to be included in the EDUCAUSE Higher Ed Ready Directory.
Is the recognition product-specific or company-wide?
Recognition is awarded at the company level, not for individual products or services.
How much does the recognition cost?
- Initial application fee: $2,000 (non-refundable, due upon application)
- Annual license fee: $1,000

Why do we need to re-apply every three years?
Higher education technology and standards evolve rapidly. Reapplication ensures that your company continues to meet current expectations and maintain alignment with EDUCAUSE values. We recommend you keep a copy of your application materials that you can update for resubmission.
What if we are not awarded the seal?
If your company is not awarded the seal after your first attempt, you may revise your submission and resubmit up to two times within the same cycle.
What happens if our submission is denied after two resubmissions?
You may reapply in a future cycle, subject to program rules and fees.
Eligibility
Who is eligible to apply for the program?
The EDUCAUSE Higher Ed Ready Program is available to EDUCAUSE Corporate Members, and is at an organizational level.
Only one individual should submit the application on behalf of your company. We recommend working with your EDUCAUSE Primary Representative (the individual designated to manage your company's membership with EDUCAUSE) as needed.

What happens if my company’s EDUCAUSE membership lapses?
The status of your seal and inclusion in the EDUCAUSE Higher Ed Ready Directory is contingent on maintaining EDUCAUSE Corporate Membership. If your membership lapses, your seal will expire.

Who reviews submissions?
Reviewers are higher education members of the EDUCAUSE community who are selected for their expertise and commitment to quality and fairness.
Will recognized companies be listed publicly?

Will I receive a certificate or badge?
Recognized companies receive a promotional toolkit and a digital seal that can be displayed on your website and in marketing collateral.
