Surveying the Landscape Cont'd: Technology and Pedagogy – Convergence or Collision?

Abstract

The Academy is being transformed as a result of a changing fiscal climate, changes in students and their expectations, the demand for assessment of value added, and the influence of technology on teaching and learning. Institutions that do well in this transformation will be ones that articulate the appropriate outcomes oriented vision, understand how to use the tools available, put in place the principles, plans and policies needed to achieve the vision, and pay attention to the whole environment and the players.
