Biography
Over the last 12 years, Les Leach’s focus has been mastering technologies involved in website construction. His background is building websites for advertising, e-commerce, and social networking using open source technologies. Currently a web developer in Swarthmore College’s Academic Technology department, Les gets to put his skills to use by helping the greater campus community effectively use tools provided by the web.
In the near future Les will be releasing to the open source community a lightweight portal framework he developed at Swarthmore with his co-worker, Michael Kappeler. Better known as “The Dash,†the framework can be seen in action @ http://dash.swarthmore.edu
Les’ current interests are mobile computing, web application security, multi-media delivery, emerging standards (such as WCAG 2.0, HTML5 and CSS3) and everything open source.
