Abstract

Thomas Davenport, Curtis Mathes Fellowship professor and director of the Information Systems Management Program at the University of Texas, Austin, spoke to CAUSE97 attendees about "New Roles for Information Professionals." After his presentation, he talked with CAUSE97 conference chair Gerald Bernbom about the topic of his latest book, "Information Ecology." Bernbom asked Davenport to relate the concepts of knowledge management and information ecology in a college or university environment.
